POEMS: Continuity ( A plaintive parting) & The Lost Lamb

Continuity ( A plaintive parting)
Lying in a wooden bed,
Hands crossed on chest,
She stared at the sky.

Standing around
Were her fruits,
Eight in all;
Has she not done well?

She is going,
Leaving the world,
But her seeds will stay
And new trees will grow
To continue her life.

The Lost Lamb
Wandering away from his mother,
He walked.
He pranced in the tall green grass,
Heading for the setting sun.

The clouds became thick,
The heavens swallowed the sun,
And there in the green grass
He stood.

The heavens cried.
He bleated,
He ran,
Now standing under a tree.
The heavens wept,
A wind roared past,
And a tree
Was laid flat on the ground.

And he was filled with rerror.
Poor soul,
Where could he run to
But follow his nose?
